APPOINTMENTS REQUESTS AT THE HOSPITAL ARE CURRENTLY FULL. WE HOPE TO OPEN APPOINTMENT REQUESTS AGAIN AS SOON AS SUPPLY ALLOWS.
Mountainside Medical Center is following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the State of New Jersey for those who should receive vaccination. Vaccine availability is very limited, and may be administered to healthcare workers, first responders, 65 years and older, and those 16-64 with underlying health conditions.
We ask those interested in the COVID-19 vaccine to follow these guidelines:
- Please do not call the hospital to schedule vaccination.
- Please do not walk into the hospital to schedule a vaccination.
- Please do not send emails or MyChart messages to the hospital to schedule vaccination.
Requesting a Vaccine Appointment at Hackensack Meridian
Hackensack Meridian is administering COVID-19 vaccine in coordination with federal and state partners at the Bergen County and Meadowlands Mega Sites. For more information, please visit www.hackensackmeridianhealth.org/covid19.
New Jersey Vaccine Resources
Several locations throughout the state, including Essex County, are administering vaccine to those who meet criteria. You can find further information here
New Jersey launched its toll-free COVID-19 vaccination hotline. The hotline is being manned by 250 agents from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. every day. New Jersey residents can call to get information about the COVID-19 vaccine, find out if they are eligible for the vaccine and get help finding a vaccine location. The hotline number is 855-568-0545.
Essex County has created a call center for COVID-19 vaccination and testing questions. Phone: 973-877-8456. The call center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
