Requesting a Vaccine Appointment at Mountainside Medical Center

DUE TO VACCINE AVAILABILITY, AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH PHASING MOUNTAINSIDE IS ACCEPTING VACCINE APPOINTMENT REQUESTS FOR THOSE MEETING ELIGIBLE CRITERIA INCLUDING:

  • Individuals age 55+
  • Individuals age 18-54 with certain medical conditions (due to vaccine availability)
  • Individuals age 18-54 with intellectual and developmental disabilities (due to vaccine availability)
  • Childcare workers in licensed and registered settings
  • Clergy
  • Communications, IT, and media workers
  • Educators and staff, including pre-K to 12 and higher education
  • Eldercare and support workers
  • Elections personnel
  • First responders
  • Healthcare workers
  • Hospitality workers
  • Individuals experiencing homelessness and those living in shelters
  • Judicial system workers
  • Laundry services workers
  • Librarians and library support staff
  • Long-term care and high-risk congregate care facility residents and staff
  • Medical supply chain employees
  • Members of tribal communities
  • Migrant farm workers
  • Postal and shipping service workers
  • Public safety workers
  • Real estate, building, and home services workers
  • Retail financial institution workers
  • Sanitation workers
  • Social service workers and support staff
  • Transportation workers
  • Utilities workers
  • Warehousing and logistics workers

New Jersey Vaccine Resources

Several locations throughout the state, including Essex County, are administering vaccine to those who meet criteria. You can find further information here.

New Jersey launched its toll-free COVID-19 vaccination hotline. The hotline is being manned by 250 agents from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. every day. New Jersey residents can call to get information about the COVID-19 vaccine, find out if they are eligible for the vaccine and get help finding a vaccine location. The hotline number is 855-568-0545. 

Essex County

Essex County has created a call center for COVID-19 vaccination and testing questions. Phone: 973-877-8456.  The call center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
 

COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduling Information for Seniors

1) Seniors 65 years and older can call the senior-specific hotline at 856-249-7007 from 8am - 8pm to schedule dedicated COVID-19 vaccine appointments

2) Seniors 65 years and older can call Walmart stores directly for dedicated appointments: www.walmart.com/store/directory/nj.
