    MONTCLAIR, NJ [April 23, 2020] – Blood Donation Network, Vitalant and Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center are partnering to begin collecting plasma from recovered COVID-19 patients to help those currently suffering from the coronavirus. People who have fully recovered from COVID-19 have antibodies in their plasma—known as convalescent plasma—that can attack the virus and be used as treatment for patients with life-threatening symptoms.

    MONTCLAIR, New Jersey (January 15, 2020) – John A. Fromhold, chief executive officer at Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center, has announced his retirement effective May 1, 2020. Fromhold has served as CEO for 12 years.

    Commenting on the timing of his retirement Fromhold said, "It was important to me that I begin this new chapter in my life with the completion and occupancy of our new medical office building (MOB)." The new MOB officially opened last week with 45,375 square feet of professional office space for healthcare providers, including obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, family medicine, urology, general surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, ENT, pulmonary, GI, endocrinology, plastic surgery and neurosurgery.
