Mountainside Medical Center is proud to present Alena Ruble-Albar, RPh, with the Card Award.

Alena embodies the core values of our organization: creativity, courage, connection, compassion, and collaboration. She has been actively involved in several assignments and projects, such as the company initiative for monitoring controlled substances. Additionally, she has been involved in the COVID-19 vaccine program and was instrumental in the transition from Omnicell to Pyxis stations.

Alena has provided invaluable coverage of the oncology and infusion centers. She is highly imaginative and utilizes organizational abilities to enhance patient safety and workflow within the Infusion Center. Transitioning from the main pharmacy to the Infusion Center is not an easy feat, yet Alena navigates it with distinction and excellence.  She consistently advocates for patient safety and care, adhering to policy and procedure when it comes to workflow within the pharmacy. Her expertise in answering clinical questions, citing primary literature, and analyzing drug information are exemplary to her peers. 

We would also like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for Alena’s 35+ years of service at Mountainside Medical Center.  During her tenure, her dedication to help patients and team members is noteworthy.
