Mountainside Medical Center named Amanda Scelfo, APN, as the Care Award recipient for June. Mountainside Medical Center’s Care Award is a monthly award that focuses on recognizing team members whose behaviors and attitudes best exemplify our five beliefs outlining who we are: Creative, Courageous, Connected, Compassionate and Collaborative.

Amanda is the APN of the Cardiology department at Mountainside. She takes pride in her Cath lab duties, STEMI and heart failure case reviews and willingly assisting her colleagues with projects as they arise.

Amanda's resilience, tenacity, and collaborative efforts are often praised by her colleagues. She is a true example of adage teamwork makes the dream work. Colleagues share that Amanda’s collaboration helps to provide the highest level of patient care is provided to Mountainside’s cardiology patients.

“She has raised the bar in our department and brings a professionalism that is admired by colleagues.” Stephanie Fabian, the Director of Cardiovascular Services, added, “We are lucky to have Amanda and people like her who are passionate about their work and have our patients’ best interests at heart.”
