The hospital announced Angela Calderon, Director of Quality at Mountainside Medical Center, as a Leader of the Month for the month of January.

As the Director of Quality, Angela evaluates policies, and processes that work cohesively to eliminate harm while optimizing patient care and outcomes. She consistently brings different perspectives to improve quality and safety.

She is described by team members as kind, compassionate, caring, and humble, and she is praised for being an active listener who seeks to understand and provide solutions to any problems that may arise.  Angie strives to do the right thing, and is passionate about providing great quality outcomes to patients.

“One of her most notable qualities is her ability to mentor and foster growth from all of her team members,” said Jolynn Ferrante, Core Measure Specialist. “We are honored to be part of her team.”
