Mountainside Medical Center is excited to honor Stephanie Fabian, director of cardiovascular services as an exceptional leader.

Congratulations, Stephanie Fabian, director of Cardiovascular Services, and recipient of the most recent Leader of the Month recognition.

Stephanie joined the Mountainside team in August 2019 and has since been recognized as an exceptional leader by her team members and colleagues alike.  She is described by others as professional, compassionate, accountable, detail-oriented, and driven.

Stephanie has made a great impact on cardiovascular services, helping to drive volume and expand services available at Mountainside Medical Center.  She adeptly confronts everyday challenges and unexpected situations with poise and composure.

As part of the EMS-taskforce, Stephanie has led efforts to showcase “Great Saves” by our community EMS, which has helped build strong relationships to drive ED volume.  She successfully led readdiction from the IAC for echocardiology and reaccreditation from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation for the Cardiac Rehab Department.  Stephanie is also the team lead for heart failure and chest pain programs, which have received disease-specific recertification from The Joint Commission.

As a former co-chair of Mountainside’s DEI committee, she has spearheaded initiatives to foster an inclusive environment where all our team members are recognized and valued. She has a strong, collaborative, and engaged team, who think very highly of her, as evidenced by the most recent Heartbeat Survey results, where her department achieved 91%.
