About Labor of Love

Expecting a baby is an exciting and life changing journey. The Labor of Love program at Mountainside Medical Center is a free program for expectant mothers, or mothers looking to become pregnant, who choose a Mountainside Medical Center OB/GYN to deliver their baby at Mountainside’s Birthing Center.

Upon enrollment, we provide assistance and support to make your pregnancy as stress free as possible.

Labor of Love provides free pregnancy perks, like access to parent education classes, and a special meal after delivery. You can view the detailed list of perks below. If you need help connecting with a Mountainside Medical Group OB/GYN, just give our Labor of Love a call.

Luxury Delivery and Care with You in Mind.

In addition to our renovated, state-of-the-art labor and delivery wing, we offer a comprehensive suite of maternity services to maximize the comfort and safety of you and your newborn. Our newly renovated unit offers amenities for new moms and dads that include hotel quality rooms with sleeper chairs, flat screen TVs, wireless Internet and spa-inspired baths.

We offer many special features such as mobile telemetry, which allows expectant mothers to move around freely in the early stages of labor; a dedicated maternity tub for laboring women, used for warm water emersion therapy and pain management; convenient family visitation hours; and a top notch lactation program for all new mothers who choose to breastfeed.

Our board-certified OB/GYN hospitalists are on staff 24/7 to work with your primary OB/GYN and provide routine oversight or emergency care, in the event that your primary provider is unable to be present. Our newborn nursery offers Level II specialty care and around the clock coverage by board certified neonatologists for babies requiring extra attention.
