When You Are Being Discharged:

This guidance is provided to assist our patients in a smooth discharge from the hospital.

  • Patients being discharged from the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th floors as well as Same Day Medical will be escorted to the Main Lobby.
  • Patients being discharged from Maternal Child Health (3rd floor) and Same Day Surgery will be escorted to the Harries Pavilion Lobby.
  • The discharge process can take some time. We need to provide you with all of your instructions for follow-up care, provide any remaining treatment and assist you in getting ready to leave.
  • As vehicles cannot remain at our entrances for any period of time, we ask family and friends picking up our patients to either retrieve their car from the garage, or request it from valet, when the patient is actually leaving their room.
  • To retrieve your car from valet, please visit the information desk at the Main Lobby or Harries Pavilion Lobby or by replying “Car” to the text provided to you.
