Medical Intensive Care

Medical excellence and state-of-the-art monitoring

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for treating patients who require the highest level of focused care.

Most often, intensive care is needed for patients on mechanical ventilation, those requiring hemodynamic monitoring and those recovering from heart attacks or major surgery. Our ICU also cares for patients in shock, and those with acute renal failure or multi-organ system failure.

In our 16-bed ICU, highly skilled, specially trained professionals work collaboratively to provide integrated care and a full spectrum of services. Our team includes board-certified physicians known as Intensivists, nurses who have obtained critical care certifications, respiratory therapists, social workers, case managers, nutritionists, physical therapists and technicians. Our ICU team also communicates with and coordinates care plans with patients, their personal physicians and family members.
